Mrs Mattie C Hill, 94 of Abilene died Monday August 19 at Sunnydale Nursing Home. Funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories with burial in Elmwood Memorial Park. Born June 3 1880 in Arkansas she married Alfred W. Hill Dec. 17, 1911 at Nashville, AR. He died Aug 5, 1972. They moved to Abilene from Roswell, NM in 1945. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She and Alfred had a small neighborhood grocery store in Abilene for several years.
