Reune Runyon, son of Vincent, Jr. & Mary (Hull) Runyon, born 27 Mar 1711, Piscataway, Middlesex Co, NJ; married 17 May 1732, Rachel Drake, daughter of Francis & Patience (Walker) Drake, who was born 25 (or 27) Nov 1707 at Piscataway. Rachel died there in 1784. She was a member of the First Day Baptist Church. Reune died during the Revolutionary War, ca 1776, "in the enemies hnes." His wih was written 14 Nov 1776; proved in probate court, 12 Oct 1786. [Princess Eleanor, p.683.]

Rev. Reune Runyon, Jr. son of Reune & Rachel (Drake) Runyon, born 29 Mar 1741, Piscataway, Middlesex Co, NJ; married Ann/Anna Bray, 8 Jun 1765 in Piscataway; died 21 Nov 1811. (Martin) Bray, was born 1734 at Piscataway; died there 11 Jul 1816.
Reune Runyon, Jr. was called to the ministry 10 Mar 1771; ordained at Morristown, N J, 18 Mar 1772-13 Apr 1780; Schooley's Mountain, NJ, 1772-1780; Piscataway, 1783-1811; Baptist. He was a prominent minister and succeeded Rev.Isaac Steele, son of Rev. Benjamin Steele, as pastor of the Piscataway Baptist Church on 10 Mar 1771. [Princess Eleanor, p.684.]
Rev. Reune died 21 Nov 1811. "Our much esteemed Pastor Reune Runyon departed this life Novb. 21st, 1811 with a tedious illness but bour the affliction with resignation having a strong hope of a Blessed immortality. Blessed are the dead that dye in the Lord they that rest from their labor and their works shall follow them." Rev. Runyon's will was drawn 21 Oct 1811 and proved 7 Dec 1811.
