GONE TO HER REWARD

Mrs. Elmina Glines died at her home, in the eastern part of this village, on Thursday afternoon, March 26, 1908, about four o'clock.

The deceased has been in poor health for several years, but the last illness which proved fatal, was of four days' duration, heart failure being the cause of her death.

Mrs. Glines was born in Cattaraugus Co., New York, August 12, 1839, and was sixty-eight years, seven months, fourteen days old at the time of her death. She came to Alexandria about twenty-eight years ago, and has resided here ever since. She was married to J.W. Glines, May 7, 1857, and they lived together nearly fifty-one years. They celebrated their golden wedding May 7th, 1907. To them were born three children. One son, who preceded his mother to the home beyond, and two daughters, who still survive her; Mrs. Vira Ashton of this village, and Mrs. Hanson of Dogden, N.D., who with her husband were present at the funeral.

The funeral service was held from the Free Methodist church, on Sunday, March 29th. A large number of friends and neighbors congregated to show their last respect to the one departed. The deceased has been an earnest and faithful member of this church for twenty-five years.

The funeral service was conducted by her pastor, Rev. H. T. Krousey, assisted by Rev. Geo. E. Tindall of the M.E. Church of this village. Those who acted as pallbearers wewe: Geo. Lucas, James Young, Wm. Young, Wm. Hoeffer, E. Koykendahl, and Mr. Alger. Burial at Union Lake Cemetery.

The relief Corps met at the church in a body, and presented many beautiful flowers, which were greatly appreciated.
