Verna B. (Watts) Arnold, 89, of West Lafayette, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family. Born August 16, 1924 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Myrtle (Retherford) Watts. Verna lived her entire life in the Greater Lafayette area, graduating from Lafayette Jefferson High School. Her marriage was to Paige R. Arnold on October 29, 1960 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1989. Verna had worked at the former Retail Clerks Offices in Lafayette and also worked for several years in the offices of the former American Shetland Pony Association in West Lafayette.

Verna is survived by her nephew, Robert R. Tully with whom she made her home in West Lafayette, three nieces, Linda Heiden (husband, Jim) of Harvard, IL, Vicky Pugh of Reynolds, IN, and Diane Blackwell of Monticello, IN, and several great nieces and great nephews.
