Mrs. Carter passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Russell Medical Center. She was born on January 3, 1920 in Daviston, Alabama to Benjamin Floyd Harry and Carrie Bence Harry.
She was a charter member of Hillabee Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors flower gardening and frequent trips to the farm taking care of the cows. Mrs. Carter was a wonderful cook.
She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Mack Henry Carter of Alexander City; daughter, Harriet Carter Scott of Alexander City; and grandchild, John Clifton Scott (Rachel) of Jackson's Gap.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Anna Scott; brothers, E. G. Harry, Reginald Harry, Gordon Harry, and Willard Harry; and sister, Pauline Price.
