William Robert Thompson,59, 217 E. Seymour St., died Wednesday at Ball Hospital after a sudden illness. He was a native of Muncie and lived here all his life. A former employee of Duffy Tool and Die, he had served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Mattox and Mrs. Virginia Loudenback, both of Indianapolis; three sons, Jerry Lee Thompson, Santee, Calif., Billy Thompson, Muncie, and Leroy Sollars, Hobart; his father, Jerome K. Thompson, Waco, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Marietta Burk, Mt. Summit, and Mrs. Evelyn Cook, New Castle; two brothers, Leroy, Alton, Ill., and Jerome, Muncie; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Peipho and Fry Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Reese of the Muncie Mission officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and prior to services Saturday.
