Clarence W. Potter, 92 of Marceline, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Marceline.
Clarence was born November 20, 1917 in Marceline, the son of Frank and Hulda (Runquist) Potter. He married Ethel Lorene Gandy on August 23, 1947.
Clarence was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He was a mechanic for 32 years and had also worked for Briggs-Cupp Chevrolet in Marceline. He was a member of Marceline American Legion Post #264.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene of Marceline; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Thurman of Marceline; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Gandy of Keytesville, and Kenny and wife, Norma Gandy of south Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
