She doesn't have a tombstone but obit states she was buried here. Some records/research data has her maiden name as Walker in error as that was her sister in law's maiden.

Census has varying birth dates for Elizabeth: 1824 to 1834, but based on the DOB of eldest child, 1824-1829 would more accurate than 1834.

According to the research of June Rush Carter, Elizabeth's parents were Josiah Bailey and Martha Williams from the Perry or Bibb County, AL.

OBITUARY:
Mrs. Lizzie Davis
Last Sunday at 3:30 pm Aunt Lizzie Davis, an aged lady that has lived in this vicinity for the past thirty-five to forty years, was interred in the Elliott Cemetery, Rev. Stephens her former pastor, conducting the funeral services. Aunt Lizzie, at the time of her death was ninety-four years of age.

She was born in Perry County, Alabama, and came to Robertson County about Forty years ago. She united with the church when seventeen years old and was a consistent member from that time up to her death, which occurred at her daughter's residence last Thursday morning. All of her children attended the funeral except her son, J. A. Davis who lives at Spur, Texas. A good woman gone peace to her ashes.

Her daughter, Mrs. T. A. Smith and family, will remain in our vicinity a few days with relatives before returning to their home is Sour Lake.
