Toccoa, Ga - Mrs. Myrt Ayers, 74, widely known resident of the Mt. Zion community, died Saturday 10:10 p.m. in Cobb Memorial Hospital at Royston, following a heart attack.
Loyd Randolph Bellamy, 38, died Saturday night at 9:55 p.m. at Greenville, S.C., General Hospital, following a gunshot wound. Mr. Bellamy was a son-in-law of Mrs. Ayers.
Mrs. Ayers was a daughter of the late Dr. Calup Deloney Wood and the late Cordelia Kesler Wood and was born in Franklin County where she had lived all her life. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Her husband, John Franklin Ayers, died May 20, 1955.
Mrs. Ayers is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. Bill Ayers, Mrs. Doyle McFarlin, Mrs. Seab Wilkinson, Mrs. Lloyd Bellamy, Mrs. Ralph Bellamy, Mrs. James Andrews and Miss Sue Ayers, all of Carnesville; four grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Mae Wood; Miss Minnie Wood, and Mrs. Herbert Payne, all of Carnesville.
Mr. Bellamy was a son of Alonso Bellamy of Homer, who survives him and the late Mrs. Myre O. Bellamy and was born in Banks County. He had lived in the Mt. Zion community for 12 years and was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Bellamy; his father, and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo R. Bellamy of Homer; five sisters, Mrs. Bruce Poole, of Carnesville; Mrs. Edward Ward of Atlanta; Mrs. Fred Brady of Marietta, Mrs. A. D. Williams of Cornelia and Miss Shirley Bellamy of Homer; two brothers, Ralph of Carnesville and Harold of Homer.
Double funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church by the Rev. Donald Brown, The Rev. J.E. Cornette, and the Rev. George McFarin.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The bodies will be at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home until 12:15 p.m. Monday.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Ayers: Euston Slaton, Winston Payne, Omer Thomason, Curtis Thomason, George Pritchett, and James Slaton. For Mr. Bellamy: Willard Osborn, Bud Osborn, Roger Bellamy, James Bellamy, Dillard Westbrook, and Bobby Bellamy.
