Britt Lee Yates, Sr., age 79, of Sanford, Florida passed away June 5, 2010. He was born july 11, 1931 in St. Petersburg to Jack Lawrence and Hester Mullins Yates. He had served in the US Marines, been a member of First Baptist Church of Sanford and had been an electonic tech for the telephone company. Britt is survived by his wife, Imogene of Sanford; two daughters, Deborah Crockett and her husband Ernest and Carol Maxey and her husband John; two sons, Britt Lee Yates, Jr. and his wife Tracy and Michael Yates and his wife, Trish; one sister, Lola Keeping and her husband, Kenneth and five brothers, Harold Yates, Raymond Yates and his wife Joan, David Yates and his wife Jean, Charlie Mullins and George Mullins and his wife Carol. Britt is also survived by 9 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
