Patsy Ruth Jones Ledford, 77, of 139 E. Stagecoach Trail, Lawndale, died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
Born January 5, 1933 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Willis Jones and Vangie Carrie Elizabeth Beaver Jones. She had been a seamstress for Shelby Seamless until it closed. She also was a custodian for 25 years at New Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Michael (Mike) Ledford; a brother, Ralph Willis Jones, Jr; and a sister, Inez Ashe.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Jackson Ledford; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dennis McKee of Lawndale; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Ledford of Shelby ; three grandchildren, Shane and Mindy McKee, Carrie McKee and Jessica and Robert Kaylor; and a sister, Elizabeth Richard of Shelby.
Visitation will be from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
The funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 17, 2010, New Bethel Baptist Church, Lawndale with Rev. Jason Allen officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
