On Aug 22 1906 at 9:30 P. M. the death angel visited the home of Mr. J. H. Adams at this place and claimed for his victim his loving wife Dora. She was confined to her bed three weeks with malarial fever. She was a devoteed member of the C. P. church at Monroe and to know her was to love her. Her remains was tenderly laid to rest in the family burying ground in the presence of a large congregation. The song and prayer service was conducted by S. T. Hensley and J. T. Bale. She leaves to mourn her departure, a husband and nine children, besides a father, mother, three sisters and two brothers and other relatives and a host of friends. We sympathize with the bereaved family in their sad loss. Our loss is heaven's gain, may they prepare to meet her some sweet day where parting is no more farewell tears are shed.
