Macon H. Adams, Sr., 89, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Louise B. Adams and is survived by two children, Anne Kirby (Tommy) and Macon H. "Bubba" Adams Jr. (Sharon); grandchildren, Karen Johnson (Robbie), Kevin Kirby (Kelley), Joshua Adams (Brooke Mondy) and Derek Adams; great-grandchildren, Cody Johnson, Randall and McKenzey Kirby and Kaylee Adams; as well as several nieces and a nephew. Macon was a longtime member of Gethsemane Church of Christ, where he was the oldest male member. He was an avid coon hunter for many years. Services were held Saturday, May 15, at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home. Interment Gethsemane Church of Christ Cemetery.
