Stephen Josepth "Steve" Bernier, age 15, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2010 in Denison, Texas from drowning.

Steve was born August 6, 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Michael Bernier and Chris Orr Bernier. He was a member of Waples Memorial United Methodist Church in Denison, Texas, a Sophomore at Denison High School, a member of the Denison High School Marching Band selected as section leader, ranked second in his class, member of the National Jr. Honor Society, and was involved in 4H for 5 years.

Steve is survived by his parents:
Michael & Christine Bernier of Denison, TX.

Matthew Bernier of Denison, TX.

Paternal Grandmother:

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Waples Memorial United Methodist Church - 830 W. Main Street - Denison, Texas with the Rev. Mike Nichols and Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Tx.

Steve and his section of the Denison High School Band was enjoying a simple outing at Waterloo Lake at Denison, Texas something the band does every year after school and he was swimming and went under.
