Survivors include his widow, the former Betty Daniels of Baton Rouge; his father, R.J. Abbott, Sr., of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Ann Abbott and Lynn Abbott, both of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Miss Edith Abbott of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Hershell Little of New Orleans.
