CHARLES A. MCLAUGHLIN, RETIRED FARMER, SUCCUMBS SUNDAY. - Mar. 26, 1939 - Utica, March 27 - Charles A. McLaughlin, 89, retired farmer, died Sunday at 8 p.m. in his home in North Washington street. His wife preceded him in death three years ago and he is survived by six sons and three daughters: Mrs. Ora Eagle, of Cleveland; Miss Nora Watson of Newark ; Mrs. Gertrude Mathias of Utica; William Wilkins Corners; Thomas of the home; Edward of Peabody, Kans; Roy of Detroit, Mich; Cary of Flory, ILl. A daughter, Etta died in infancy. He also leaves 19 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren
He was born May 29, 1849, in St. Louisville, and was a member of Bell church. The body will be taken to the home Tuesday from the Gutliph & Henderson funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 pm. in Pleasant View church, with Rev. C.C. Smith officiating and burial will be made in Barnes cemetery.
