Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 8-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home and from noon until 2 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Dunaway, 66, died Sept. 27, 2004, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 18, 1938, to Harper Dunaway and Freddie Rushing Dunaway.
He was an entrepreneur. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of Central Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a son, Keith Whitehead.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Reed Dunaway of Brookhaven; his sons, Chris Dunaway, Ben Dunaway and his wife, Annette, David Dunaway and his wife, Marklyn, Lee Dunaway and his wife, Karen, all of Brookhaven; his sisters, Laquita Bass of Brookhaven, Betty Boyd of Bakersfield, Calif., Iona Waits of Mobile, Ala., and Gertrude Hoover of Jackson; his brother, Bailey Dunaway of Brookhaven; his grandchildren Heather and Harris Blissett, Caleb, Maura and Blaine Dunaway, all of Brookhaven; and a great grandchild, Haize Blissett of Brookhaven.
