MARGERY PALMER
Margery died on Wednesday, February 7, 2001 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Born September 15, 1919 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mrs Palmer was raised in Portland, Ore, where she graduated from Washington High School in 1937. Married H. Barr Palmer January 1, 1942, son of Dr. and Mrs. C. Harold Palmer of Portland, Ore.
Mrs. Palmer was a Navy wife for 26 years. She and her husband retired to Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. For the next 27 years she was an avid golfer, gardner, bridge player, and friend to many. She last resided at Las Villas Del Norte Retirement Center, Escondido, California.
Mrs Palmer is preceded in death by her parents Larry and Grace Harrington, Portland OR. She is survived by her husband of 59 years H. Barr Palmer; her brother John Harrington of Cannon Beach, Ore; children Skip Palmer of Overland Park, Kansas; daughters Carol Ertwine of Carlsbad, Calif; and Nancy Richmond of Ramona, Calif; six grandchildren and two great grandsons. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother who never stopped loving and giving to all those who shared in her life.
Internment will be at skyline Memorial Gardens, Portland, Ore. Sat. Feb. 17, 2001 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Diego chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 8514 Commerce Ave., San Diego, Calif. 92121
