Sister was born June 30, 1919, and her mother died the same day. When Sister Eva was dying, she was consoled by the thought that she would finally meet her mother. In the years between, she and her father became close, and she made her home with him until his death when she was 20.

She entered the Holy Names novitiate at Marylhurst in 1940, professed first vows in 1942, and began her years as a teacher in fifth and sixth grades classrooms. Later she became a bookkeeper and bursar and served at Marylhurst in this capacity for many years, assisting the Sisters with their personal finances until just a few months before she died. Always meticulous in her own work, she was never too busy to help others who found bookkeeping a mystery. She gave many years to community service always remaining a woman of prayer, thoughtfulness and good humor to the end. She is survived by cousins and the members of the Holy Names community.
