Glynn Lyon, age 85, of Warren, died Thursday, April 13, at the Bradley County Memorial Hospital. He was born November 2, 1909, in Bradley County, a son of the late Shelby Carter Lyon and Ora Hargis Lyon. He was the retired owner of Lyon Buick Pontiac Company, a Buick dealer for 38 years, and at the time of retirement, the oldest agency in the Memphis District and was a past director of the Arkansas Automobile Dealers Association. He was a charter member and past president for two terms of the Bradley County Fair and Marketing Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warren and the Barracca Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Thomason Lyon whom he married June 19, 1932, at England (Lonoke County); two daughters; four brothers, Leroy Lyon, J. W. Lyon, Ed Lyon and Odys Lyon, all of Warren; two sisters Virginia Hickman, Mablevale, and Martha Graham, Little Rock; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, April 15, at Frazer's Chapel by Rev. Greg Stanley and Rev. Glenn Morgan. Janice Sullivan played and Bob White and Abbie Richardson sang. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Glenn Hogue, Grey Hogue, Gary Hogue, Baker Moseley, Joe Moseley, Phillip Lyon, David Lyon, and Ronald Lyon. Honorary pallbearers were the Baracca SS Class, the board of the Bradley County Fair and Marketing Association - Leland Bryant, W. C. Wilbanks, Buddy McCaskill, Martin Hankins, James E. Smith, Curtis Blankinship, Hugh Allen Quimby, and Paul Gatling.
