Services for Edward W. Brown of Springfield will be at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Having been in ill health for one year, the retired boilermaker, 85, died Wednesday in Memorial Hospital.
A resident of Springfield most of his life, Mr. Brown was born at Streator, the son of Matthew and Jane Ramshaw Brown. H was married to Cora Barrow on July 25, 1905. Mr. Brown was a member of the Boilermaker Union Local 363.
Surviving are his wife Cora; daughter Miss Velma Brown; sons Floyd of Union Lake, Mich., William and Donald L., both of Springfield; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Mrs. Hanna Tiernan of Springfield; brother Matthew Brown of Glendale, Calif.
