After attending grammar school in Ringling, MT, and finishing High School in Deer Lodge in 1921, Angela went to work for the "Mountain States Telephone Company" in Deer Lodge. Known as the "Chief Operator" for many yrs before a long illness, ended in her death, at her Deer Lodge home, in 1957.
During her extended illness, she helped to establish "The Angela Memorial Fund", a non-profit corp, for deserving Powell County students to futher their education beyond high school.
At the time of her death, she was survived by her Mother, also in Deer Lodge, Mrs. Mary Burke, 3 Sisters; Mrs Frank Wisner; Deer Lodge, Mrs Tom Moore, Drummand & Mrs. OC Conway; Craig, Colorado and 2 Brothers John Burke, Green Forest, Ark & William Burke; Butte Montana. As well as many nieces & nephews.
