Lacy Hall was in WWII, and his plane was shot down near the Celebes Islands on September 2, 1944. His body, nor those of the rest of the crew were ever recovered. My father had this marker placed to honor his brother. His name also appears on the marker in the Phillipines for those who were lost in the Pacific during WWII.

Lacy Bryant "June" Hall, Jr. was a S/Sgt. and turret gunner in WWII, where he was stationed in New Guinea. On his 31 mission, his plane was shot down and all crew members were lost. He left behind a wife, Katherine Hiott Hall, and a son James Bryant Hall.
