Richmond B. Reeves, 88, well-known retired farmer, died at his home in the Ozark community late Monday night. Mr. Reeves was a native of Virginia and a son of the late Preston and Mary Ann Bourne Reeves. He came to Adair County in 1909 and lived near Columbia for a while before moving to the home near Shiloh Church.

He was a prosperous retired farmer and a highly respected citizen. He was an Elder of the Shiloh Christian Church and served as superintendent of the Sunday School for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Hall Reeves; six daughters, Mrs. Charles T. Powell, Mrs. Guinn Morris, and Mrs. Claude Combest, of Louisville, Mrs. Addie Mae Hendrickson and Mrs. Hugh Yates, of Columbia, and Mrs. Oris Aaron, of Louisville; three sons, Buford Reeves, of Columbia, Herndon M. Reeves, of Corydon, Ind., and Joe Reeves, of Louisville; twenty-two grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock this afternoon at Shiloh Church, conducted by Rev. H.J. Conover. Interment will be in the Reeves family cemetery. The pallbearers are: Buford, Joe, and Herndon M. Reeves, Conway Morris, June Hendrickson, and Joe Powell.
