The deceased was a splendid Christian gentleman, a member of the Bethel Methodist church, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.
He is survived by eight children, six boys, Elmer, of Oklahoma, Arthur, of Ohio, and Levi, Winfield Jr., Fred, and Bill, all of this county, and two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lawless and Mrs. Ellen Wheat, also of this county. His wife and two sons preceded him to the grave.
Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased, conducted by his pastor, Rev. H.T. Chandler, with burial in the Gabbard cemetery near his home. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their sore bereavement.
