Roscoe Earl Atwell, 101, Cave City, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011 at NHC Health Care, Glasgow. The Hart County native was the son of the late J.I. Atwell and Lucy Davis Atwell and the widower of Ruby James Atwell. He was the oldest living member of Salem Baptist Church and a retired motel owner.

Survivors include a daughter Daisy Atwell Haydon, (Carl) Cave City; grandchildren, Debby Bailey (Bill), Sherry Tutor (Denny), Natalie London (Mike), Lisa Tong, Bobby Atwell, Jr. (Penny), Julie Gardner (Troy), Teresa Sturgeon (Eddie), Carla Sloan (Kirby); fifteen great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; and special care givers Bea Owens and Betty Pruitt.

Funeral services with Randy Scott officiating will be at 2PM Sunday, August 28th at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Cave City Cemetery.
