Cyrenius "Cye" Phillips, Jr., 73, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 5,2004, at his residence.

He was born on February 21,1931, in Lindale, Georgia to Cyrenius and Corine Phillips. He served his country in the United States Army. Cye and Jean currently own 'Miss Jean and Cye's Kitchen' on F.M.517 in Dickinson, Texas.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jean Williams-Phillips; his two daughters, Beatrice Stigen, Michelle Baggerley; his four step-daughters, Glennice Uselton, Elaine Glass, Patty Merritt, and Kay Murphy; his son, Cyrenius Phillips III; his three stepsons, Jimmy Williams, Gary Murphy, and Kenneth Chvatal; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Crowder Funeral Home, in Dickinson, Texas. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Crowder Funeral Home, in Dickinson, Texas, with Reverend Tommy Turnbow officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at Ryan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.
