Lyman L. Hayden, 73 years old, 1910 Bloomfield Street, died early Friday night at a hospital here. He had entered the hospital last Saturday.
Mr. Hayden worked for the Marquette Cement Co. for 25 years before his retirement in 1957. He was a carpenter and shop worker for the company. The family lived here the past 32 years.
Mr. Hayden was born in Stoddard County Oct. 29, 1889, and was a son of Joab Hayden and Ivy Hayden. He spent his early years at Allenville.
Mr. Hayden married Miss Emma Harmon at Allenville, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. August Teichman, Mrs. Milford Fox and Mrs. Leon Fassel, all of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, and a brother, Lloyd Hayden of East St. Louis.
The body is at the Brinkopf-Howell Funeral Home, and will be taken at 12:30 Sunday to Bethany Baptist Church here, with the rites to be at 1:30. The Rev. Glenn Cummings will be in charge, and burial is to be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
