Elma E. Fravel, 81, Corydon, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
Born July 19, 1928, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lola Hottle Lang.
She was a retired bus driver for South Harrison Community School Corp., a former employee of Corydon Locker Plant and Harrison County Poultry Association and a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon and Old Capital Saddle Club.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Lang, and a sister, Ersel Mayden.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Wayne Fravel; two sons, C. Wayne Fravel Jr. and Timothy Lee Fravel, both of Corydon; two daughters, Donna Sue Sutherland of Lanesville and Beverly Jean McAdams of Corydon; a brother, Jack Lang of Corydon; a sister, Estell Hardsaw of Corydon; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, June 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 19, after 8 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery south of Corydon.
Pallbearers: Lewis, Brian, Tom and Doug Fravel and Chris and Dudley McAdams.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Heidelberg Cemetery Fund.
