Ernest Lee Horner, 87, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Hamilton Health Care Center.

Services were Saturday, Sept. 5, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with George Tolbert and Jim Sullenger officiating. Burial was in Indian Gap Cemetery.

Mr. Horner was born Nov. 17, 1910, in Zephyr, the son of Levi and Alice McCullough Horner. He lived his early life in Brown County. He was married to Edith Stewart on Dec. 23, 1929, at Sidney. They moved to Hamilton County in 1931 and to Hamilton in 1955. He was a long time farmer and carpenter. He was a member of Park Heights Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ray Horner, a sister and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Horner of Hamilton; a son, Glenn Horner and wife Betty of Hamilton; a daughter-in-law, Lynda Horner of Hamilton; a brother, Virl Horner of the Grovernor community of Brown County; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dennis Ensor, Plank Wilson, Jim Adams, Charles Niemann, Syl Dyer and Jack Davidson. Honorary pallbearers were Dulan Newton, Earl Pennington, Buford Olson and Dr. Ping N. Tan.
