Janssen, Ida Marie, born on her families homestead June 13, 1911, near Pocasset, in Grady County. She died Aug. 6, 1989 in Bethany.

Her parents were John T. Janssen and Minnie Fisher Janseen. She graduated from Tuttle High School in 1928, after attending Pocasset High School, and also attended school at Central State College in Edmond. Marie was cashier at Veasy Drug Store for several years and was also employed at Crown Heights Drug Store, Douglas Air Craft, and Brown's in Penn Square. She was converted and became a member of the Methodist Church on Easter Sunday, 1928 in Tuttle, and later became a member of Crown Heights Christian Church in OKC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Leroy, Ted, Clifford, and Earl, and one sister, Frances.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Margaret Cavitt, of Woodward and Mable Taylor, Verden; 2 brothers Clyde, of Tuttle, and John of San Jose, CA; 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clyde (Beatrice) Janssen of Tuttle, and Mrs. John (Timy) Janssen, of San Jose, CA; and many nieces, nephews, great-neices and nephews, and great-great neices and nephews; and good friend whom she helped raise, Donald C. Medford, of OKC.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 9 at Guardian Midtown Chapel, with burial to follow at 2 p.m. in Carnegie, OK.
