Born January 15, 1940, in York, she was a daughter of late Wesley J. and Alice M. (Keener) Raver.
She was employed with Manor Care Health Services South, as a nursing assistant for 15 years and previously worked as a babysitter for several children in her neighborhood. A member of the Holiday Rambler Club, she was also an officer in the Red Rose Ramblers.
She enjoyed country music, and word search puzzles and loved traveling, especially to Nashville, to visit the General Jackson Showboat.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Achenbach is also survived by five children, Alice M. Gante of W. York, William W. Achenbach and wife, Carol of York, Dwight D. Achenbach and wife, Heather of W. York, Cheryl A. Krout and husband, Scott of Seven Valleys, and Ethan A. Achenbach and wife, Stacie of Red Lion; seven grandchildren, Benjamin and Lyndsey Achenbach, Elizabeth and Cameron Achenbach, Kyle and Kayla Gante and Tiffany Kauffman; one great-grandson, Conner Colby; one sister, Crystal M. Brenneman of York; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley; and a sister, Betty.
Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
