Leverett Aarnink was the son of John and Mary Aarnink of Clay County, Indiana. He was married to Naomi Ruth Reed on December 23, 1923. They were the parents of Marilyn and John Aarnink. They lived in Terre Haute, Indiana most of their adult lives, but in later years went to live with Marilyn in Princeton, Indiana, where they died in 1979 and 1983. They were members of the church of Christ.
