Tommy Nelson Jeffers, 70, of Oneida, Tenn., died March 6, 1998, at the Scott County Hospital. Born in Scott County, Tenn., September 16, 1927, he was the son of the late O.M. and Ola Kerley Jeffers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, and two sisters. He was a member of Oneida Masonic Lodge #695, a Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Pine Hill United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lorene Jeffers; three daughters: Wanda Jeffers, Diana Jeffers, and Pat Puckett and husband, Rev. Mike Puckett; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Scott, Youford, and Roy Lee; four sisters: Roberta, Lula Mae, Janice, and Sharon; several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted March 9, 1998, at West-Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Delyn Phillips officiating. Music was provided by Pine Hill Church Choir.
