Rosalie and her husband managed these funds, and donors found them to be reliable agents. Rosalie inspired her children to get college educations. She was an active church woman. Her grave stone reads: "The nobility of strength of two races were blended in her life of Christian faith and duty."
Rosalie and Edward had 10 children--three girls and seven boys. The town of Rosalie, Nebraska was named for her.
