Norman Arnold Tisch was born January 21, 1913 to Fred and Louise (Wiesner) Tisch in Oconto Falls, WI. He married Dorothy Jane Konitzer on January 27, 1940. Norman was always called Nunsky by his family and friends. His brother Walter (Cocky) married his wife's sister, Magdaline and they lived across the street from one another in Oconto Falls.

While in High School, Nunsky managed the basketball team and once completed 98 consecutive freethrows after practice which was witness by the coach and several players.

He was employed by O'Niell Garage in Oconto Falls as a mechanic and after the business was sold went to work for Oconto Electric Cooperative for 27 years as their appliance serviceman. He retired in 1975. Nunksy was a devoted Packer and Cubs fan and could fix almost anything.

He had eight children. Donna Mae, Robert Norman, Janet, Linda, Carolyn, Gerald, Roger (passed away due to car accident in 1979), and Diane.
