Mrs. Oliver C. Darst
DODGE CITY - Mrs. Adelina Darst, 90, of Dodge City died Sunday morning at the Good Samaritan Home here after about a year's illness. Born April 8, 1873, at Keota, Iowa, she moved to Rice County as a small girl with her family. A school teacher, she married Oliver C. Darst, Sept. 14, 1892, in Rice County. They lived on farms in the Stafford, Rozel, Lewis and Kinsley communitiieis before Mr. Darst's death in 1942. She had been a Dodge resident since 1942.
Member: Methodist Church, Dodge City.
Survivors: A daughter, Mrs. Ethel Ratliff, Denver; sons, Claude, Dodge City and Ray, Johnson; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Hulpieu-Swaim Chapel, Dodge City; Rev. M.E. Hickman. Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Garfield Cemetery, Garfield.
