Mrs. Baumbach was born and raised in Bronx, N.Y., and was a longtime Vineland resident prior to moving to Georgia in 2000. She was the daughter of the late Robert J. Lindner and Magdalen E. Berberich Lindner Speckenbach, and wife of the late George W. Baumbach, who died in 1963. She was also predeceased by her brother, Robert Lindner; a sister, Margaret Doherty; great-granddaughter, Amber Leann Wallace and son-in-law, Paul Eugene Ausburn.
Before retiring in August of 1975, Mrs. Baumbach was employed as a senior clerk for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. She was a longtime member of the South Vineland United Methodist Church, The Order of Eastern Star, Ladies Auxiliary of the South Vineland Fire Co. 2, Telephone Pioneers and the Senior Bowling League at Loyle Lanes, Vineland.
She is survived by four daughters, Geraldine and husband Billy Herrington of Dawson, Ga., with whom she lived, Lavinia Ausburn of Clementon, Madeline and husband Gary Lofgren of Lindenwold, and Virginia and husband John Madkiff of Vineland; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a visitation until 9 p.m. and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Pancoast with burial to follow in the Siloam Cemetery.
