Mrs. Bugel was a former resident of 98 Newport Ave, Alden Station, Newport Township., who was currently living with her daughter Anna.
Anastasia was born in Austria Hungary to Anna and Andrew Hudak in 1891. She came to New York City where she lived for 2 years before coming to Alden Station, Newport Township where she resided for over 50 years.
She was a charter member of Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church, Alden and active in church affairs. She was also a member of its Ladies Society.
During World War II Mrs. Bugel was an active Red Cross Volunteer.
She was predeceased by her husband John and brother-in-law, John Moriak.
Surviving are her children: Anna (Vladimir) Konstantinovich of Wilkes-Barre; Andrew (Martha) of Pottstown; Nicholas (Mary) of Niagara Falls, NY; John (Theresa) of New Cumberland; Mary (Roger) Parry of Whippany, NJ; Michael (Helen) of San Francisco, CA. She is survived by grandchildren, Marie (Gerard) Degnon, Natalie (John) Syms, John, Maryanne, Lisa, Nicholas, Donna, Marybeth, Teddy, Debbie, Michelle and Robyn. Great grandchildren: Gerard, Patricia, Michelle, John, Michael, Roger and Joyce.
She is also survived by her sister Paraska Moriak( findagrave #254359910) of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Nieces Anna and Emily. Nephew, Alexander Moriak all of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the funeral home at 163 East Broad Street, Nanticoke. Then at 9:30 am at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church, Alden. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Parastas services will be Tuesday and Wednesday night at 7:30pm in the funeral home with Rev Michael Michlik and Rev Vladimir Petorkak, Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre, officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday and Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 til 10.
