Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, with the Rev. Dr. David Leslie officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials: donor's choice.
Kent was born Nov. 1, 1955, in Decatur, the son of John W. and Goldie M. Taylor Mariner. He was a self-employed auto mechanic, a member of Sullivan First Christian Church and a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his daughter, Heather Mariner-Davis of Lovington; father of Lovington; brother, Scott Lee Mariner of Peoria; grandson, Christopher C. Stout II of Lovington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother.
