Mrs. Barnes was born in Cambridge, Ill. on March 4, 1896 and passed away in the local nursing home on Friday evening.
Mrs. Barnes moved to Taft from Missouri in 1915. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taft Ward. She was a past matron of the Taft Chapter #323, order of the Eastern Star and past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Barnes, in September of 1960, and by her son, Albert Barnes in November of 1979. Mrs. Barnes' survivors include her daughter, her sister, six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Those who wish may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home on Monday until 8:30 p.m. to pay their respects.
