Velma Bolinger, 77, California, died Sunday at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born Nov. 20, 1910, in Latham, a daughter of Charles and Effie Dunham Shores. She was married Aug. 28, 1927, to Ward E. Bolinger, who survives at home. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church, California, and was active for many years at Flag Springs Baptist Church, near California. Other survivors include: five sons, Donald Bolinger, Fred Bolinger, Buddy Bolinger and Billy Bolinger, all of California, and Gerald Bolinger , Santa Ana, Calif.; two daughters, Mary Beth Fischer, St. Louis, and Donna Dicus, California; one brother, Earl Shores, California; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. John Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Flag Springs Cemetery, near California. Visitation will be 2:30 - 8:30 p.m. today at Bowlin Funeral Home, California. Memorials are suggested to the Alzhemier's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
