William Nevin served in the Army Infantry in the first World War, and fought on the front lines. He was in Company F, 307 Infantry and was Wounded in Action on September 17 1918. He was gassed. He recovered and returned to Queens, NY where he lived until his death in 1961. He had 2 brothers, Robert James and Frederick and 2 sisters, Frances Nevin Loeffler and Emma Nevin Bisignani.
