ANDERSON, Ind. — D'Vonté "M.J." Dixon Hamilton, 16, passed away unexpectedly June 20, 2010, at Riley Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born March 6, 1994, to Willie J. Hamilton and Valerie A. Dixon. D'Vonté attended Anderson High School, where he was a junior.

D'Vonté was a car enthusiast, and also enjoyed watching sports, mastering electronic gadgets and sending friends text messages.

He is survived by his parents; sisters, Chenelle Hamilton and Shapphire Gosha; brothers, Rondale Hamilton, Jamel Hamilton and D'Andre Hamilton; paternal grandparents, Barbara Hamilton and Willie Hamilton Sr.; and maternal grandparents, O.P. and MaryAnn Dixon.

Additional survivors include a special cousin, Marquis Sailes; along with a host of aunts, uncles, other cousins and many friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1540 W. 16th St., Anderson. The visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. Roosevelt Boyd will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
