ALENE GILES
MISS ALENE GILES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. GILES, died at the home of her parents, in this city Monday night after a lingering illness. She had been home just one week after returning from a sanitarium at El Paso, where she was sent in early October, wit the hope that the change would be beneficial. But her parents and friends were disappointed as she grew worse until it was deeded to bring her home. She was born and reared in Saint Jo, but the last few years, she lived in Dallas employed as a stenographer by DECKER & Sons. She was popular and loved by all who knew here. She was a graduate of Saint Jo high school and a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her parents, five brothers, CURRY and ZELNA of the home, T. E. GILES of Saint Jo, W. J. GILES of Hollis, Oklahoma, GUY GILES of Fort Worth, and two sisters MRS. JOEL BRYANT of Gainesville and MRS. WELDON DAVIS of Dallas. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. GEORGE W. FENDER of Allington with arrangements by C. H. DUNBAR and interment at Mountain Park Cemetery.
