ELMER J. BRADTMUELLER, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Harborside Healthcare, New Haven. He was a member of Martini Lutheran Church. The Fort Wayne native was the son of Theodore and Clara Bradtmueller. He was a bus driver for East Allen County Schools for 35 years and a life long farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; stepchildren, Gary (Sue) Widenhoefer, Duane (Nila) Widenhoefer, Patsy (Ron) Bowen, Cindy (Russell) Longsworth and Penny (Bill) Reichhart; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Elna Wietfeldt, Leona (Fred) Wietfeldt, Adelia (William) Hoffmeier and Mildred "Micky" Benedict-Dawson; and brothers, Art (Rosella) Bradtmueller, Alvin "Pete" (Betty) Bradtmueller, Lawrence Bradtmueller and Gilbert (Doris) Bradtmueller.

He was preceded in death by brother, Edwin Bradtmueller; and sisters, Helen Fuhrmann and Elsie Bradtmueller.

Service is 11 a.m. Monday at Martini Lutheran Church, 333 Moeller Road, New Haven, with calling one hour before service time. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Memorials are to Martini Lutheran Church, Central Lutheran School or Worship for Shut-ins.
