Born in the tiny community of Bibb, she was a daughter, a sister, a friend, a wife & Mother of JohnRobert (adopted) & a homemaker who also assisted her lifetime husband Irby Waland Mauney in operating a motel, store & station in Goldthwaite, Mills county, Texas for most of her adult life having married Nov. 14, 1925. She was active in her son's school activities including being an officer of the Band Booster club which operated a concession stand at sports events where she served as Treasurer for a number of years. She was a member of the church of Christ.
