Myrtle Viola Knorzer, 96, died Jan. 6 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Sullenger officiating. Services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Knorzer was born Jan. 21, 1903, at Gustine, the daughter of George Franklin Gilman and Quinnie Ann Richey Gilman.

She was married to Fred Fisher Knorzer on Sept. 4, 1923. He preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1968.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For a number of years she worked in the nursing field. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two children, Donald F. Knorzer and wife Bonnie of Hazlehurst, Georgia; and Josephine Viola Cooper of Spring and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Jim Adams, Billy Cole, Buford Olson, Syl Dyer, Jack Davidson, and Jimmy C. Adams.
