MOTLEY----Francis L. Hendricks,70, Motley, died Tuesday at the Staples Municipal Hospital. Mr Hendricks was born Aug. 26, 1902, in Douglas County. He married Emma Louise Thiede on February 27, 1927 they made their home at Henning until 1941 when they came to Motley. He was a retired farmer and retired employee of Morey Fish Co., Motley: member of St. Micheal's Catholic church and Staples Senior Citizens.
Surviving are his wife, Emma; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Bock and Mrs. John C. (Florence) Nelson of Brainerd and Mrs. Dewey (Martha) Killian of Brooklyn Park; six sons; Robert of Goshen, Ind.;Harvey of Duluth, Herbert with the U.S. Navy at Brunswick, Me., Bernard of Motley, Arthur of Richfield and Don of Bloomington. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Merlin and Melvin and a sister, Mary Klouchek, all of Idaho. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Micheal's Catholic Church in Motley. The Rev. Paul Schmelzer will officiate with interment in Evergreen Cemetery in Motley. A rosary is planned tonight at 8 p.m. at the Huff Funeral Home.
