Bill was the son of J. V. and Helen Youngblood Newberry. He attended school in Wardville and graduated from Kiowa High School. He married Lisa Burks on Dec. 23, 2000, in Wardville. He owned "Right-Of-Way" business, was a maintenance supervisor in Oklahoma City and worked for Epperson Funeral Home in Coalgate. He was also a rancher. He was a member of Wardville Baptist Church. He passed away at his home in Wardville at the age of 61. Survivors include his mother, Helen Newberry; wife, Lisa (Burks) Newberry; two sons, Jeffery Newberry and wife, Sindy, and Michael Wisel and wife, Jennifer; two daughters, Amanda K. Parker and Melissa Smith. Also, grandchildren, Kylie Parker, Brandon Newberry, Cody Newberry, Dusty Newberry, Dylan Moore, Taylor Wisel, Raven Wisel, Chase Wisel and Dalton Wisel; one brother, Jim Newberry and wife, Barbara, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Cody Newberry, Brandon Newberry, Jimmy Newberry, Steven Newberry, Richard Newberry and Kevin Newberry. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Quaid, Leonard Quaid, J.R. Barnhill, Tom Prather, Rex Hatridge, Lindsey Grant, Randy Thompson and Randy Wisel. He was preceded in death by his father, J.V. Newberry; brother, Jerry Newberry, and grandparents, Elton and Vivian (Hooten) Newberry. Funeral services were Monday at Kiowa First Baptist Church with the Rev. James Crowson officiating. Burial was at Wardville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Coalgate.
